After days of high suspense and drama, Barcelona forward and Brazilian football sensation has been signed for a record of 222 million Euros.

This now makes Neymar the most expensive player in the history of the game and even surpasses Manchester United   105 million euros payout plan to acquire Paul Pogba.

The  25-year-old Neymar had signed a five-year contract with the European club that will expire in June 2022.

The club announced the move on their official twitter page @PSG_English and  added that Neymar’s ‘arrival into the Paris Saint-Germain family emphasizes more than ever the club’s aims to rise to the top of world football.’

How ever not everyone is happy with this marriage. President of Spanish Football League La Liga feels Neywar was lured away by the French Club which is owned by Qatari company called Oryx Qatar Sports Investments.

La Liga has also also urged UEFA to monitor the deal so that Financial Fair Play Rules are not violated during the transfer.

UEFA has clarified  that All clubs in Europe must respect financial fair-play rules and had to demonstrate that they do not have losses of more than 30m euros over three years.
