A R Rahman: Bollywood ‘gang’ spreading rumours about me
At a time when nationwide anger over nepotism is bollywood prevails Oscar winner and music composer A R Rahman made an explosive revelation in an radio interview claiming that a Bollywood gang was preventing him from getting work in the industry.
AR Rahman said, ‘See, I don’t say no to good movies, but I think there is a gang, which, due to misunderstandings, is spreading some false rumours. So when Mukesh Chhabra came to me, I gave him four songs in two days. He said, ‘Sir, how many people said don’t go, don’t go. They told me stories after stories. I heard that, and I said, ‘yeah okay, now I understand why I am doing less and why the good movies are not coming to me. I am doing dark movies, because there is a whole gang working against me, without them knowing that they are doing harm.’
The composer however also added that he believes in destiny and assured filmmakers that they can approach him to compose music for their movies.
Officials: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal aiming to revive Delhi’s economy

Delhi officials have revealed that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will introduce a bevy of measures in a bid to re-establish the city’s limping economy.
The measures have been drawn after CM consulted economists, trade and industry specialists from the national capital.
The state govt is expected to focus on ensuring the economy and people’s livelihood back on track. Delhi’s Labour and Employment Minister Gopal Rai announced that the government will roll out a special programme to ensure employment was generated in the city.
A job portal will also be launche soon to help companies hire job seeking candidates.12-member expert committe was earlier formed to look into economic reform to help revive industrial sector due to lockdown.
Defence minister leads India’s tributes to Kargil heroes at National War Memorial

On the 21st anniversary of India’s win over Pakistan in the Kargil war, Defence Minister paid tributes to the heroes of Operation Vijay.
“The sacrifices made by soldiers, which helped us win the Kargil war, will always be a source of inspiration for the armed forces. Kargil is not only a symbol of national pride but also a big step that was taken against injustice. I would like to mention the views of the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on national security. He said we have proved we will not bow down in front of any external pressures”

Minister of State for Defence Shripad Naik, Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat, Army Chief General M M Naravane, Air Chief Marshal R K S Bhadauria and Navy Chief Admiral Karambir Singh also attended the solemn ceremony at the National War Memorial.
On July 26, 1999, the Indian Army sucessfully executed “Operation Vijay” which ensure India’s victory over the neighbouring country post the 3-month-long war. Over 500 soldiers had laid down their lives in the war.
LK Advani, Mohan Bhagwat invited to Ayodhya Ram temple ‘bhoomi pujan’

BJP stalwarts LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and spiritual leaders from all faiths ave been invited to the ground breaking ceremony of Ram temple in Ayodhya on August 5.
The temple trustees revealed that the event will be broadcast live on Doordarshan. In the light of the current pandemic, only 200 people will attend this event and will maintain social distancing.
Trustees also added that soil from multi-faith places of worship was being collected for ‘bhoomi pujan’ and asked Lord Ram devotees to witness the event on TV instead of travelling to Ayodhya.
