Giraffe now ‘vulnerable’ for extinction

In a major blow to the conservation efforts by several NGOs and animal rights groups, Giraffe has now been classified as a ‘vulnerable’ species. 

Giraffe population has declined by over 40%. In 1985, 155000 Giraffes existed and now only 97000 exist.Giraffe have 9 subspecies and it is important to save these subspecies.
